About this App

S7 PLC HMI Lite turns your Android phone or tablet into an HMI panel for Siemens S7 PLCs and Modbus TCP devices. Connect over WiFi and monitor and control your machine in real time — a free way to try the full S7 PLC HMI experience.

SUPPORTED DEVICES
• Siemens S7-1200, S7-300 and S7-400
• NEW: any device with Modbus TCP — other vendors’ PLCs, energy meters, drives, gateways
• Direct connection over TCP/IP (WiFi) — no PC or extra hardware in between
• For S7: use a non-optimized DB (S7-300/400 compatible) with full access

OBJECT TYPES
• Simple object (bit or analog value: Byte/Word/Int/DWord/DInt/Real)
• Drive, Drive with local mode, Drive – two directions
• Dumper, Valve (each with local mode)
• Button (pulse) – momentary command
• Alarm with acknowledge – blinks until acknowledged
• Mode selector – Off / Auto / Manual
• Level bar – analog level indicator with scale
• Value with trend – live curve with a 1 / 5 / 15-minute window

KEY FEATURES
• Modern Material Design 3 interface
• Clear object list with live states and connection status
• Object control from a bottom sheet with large buttons
• Dark mode and system colors (Material You)
• App language switchable right from the menu – 9 languages incl. Dutch
• Optional analog value limits – out-of-range shown in red
• PLC diagnostics – RUN/STOP state and CPU info
• Graphic mode – place objects on your own background image and operate from a custom screen
• Edit any object straight from the graphic mode or the list – tap it and use the pencil, even without a connection

MODBUS TCP (new)
• Any device that speaks Modbus TCP — PLCs from most vendors (ABB, Allen-Bradley, Schneider), energy meters, drives and gateways
• One device: IP address, port and Unit ID
• Devices on a serial RTU line through a Modbus TCP gateway
• Coils, discrete inputs, holding and input registers
• Type the address the way your documentation writes it — HR100, table 40101 or Schneider %MW100 — and see all three equivalents
• Byte order for 32-bit values (ABCD/CDAB/BADC/DCBA), per group or per object
• Write mode: single register or always FC16/FC15, for devices that need it
• Coefficient for 16-bit values — read 234 as 23.4
• Read-only spaces get no controls, so you can never write where the device would not accept it
• Built-in address examples for Siemens S7, Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley Micro8x0 and ABB, right in the object form
• Modbus help chapter one tap away from the PLC settings; connection test can be cancelled

Need more than one PLC? Move up to the full S7 PLC HMI for PLC groups, object management and backup/restore.

IMPORTANT: For the S7-1200 use a standard (non-optimized) DB and enable full access in the block protection settings.
